» Discription: Meloxicam inj.
NSAID of oxacam class inhibits the synthesis of PGE2 by more selectively inhibiting
the cyclo oxagenase (cox-2) enzyme, thereby exerting potent anti-inflammatory, anti-exudative,
analgesic and anti-pyretic effects.
» Composition:
Meloxicam 5 mg/ml
» Indications
Anti-inflammatory drug used to relieve the symptoms of arthritis, primary dysmenorrhea,
fever; and as an analgesic, especially where there is an inflammatory component.
Inflammatory conditions associated with pneumonia, pleuritis, mastitis, prolapse
of uterus, laminitis, myositis, surgical interventions, otitis, and premature labour.
» Dosage And Administration
For Pneumonia and Prolapse: 0.5 mg /kg BW for large and small
Animals Other conditions: 0.2-0.3 mg/ kg BW
